Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month Through Dance!

Join Orchestra Miami at Pinecrest Gardens for Flamenco y Folklórico, the first event in our Family Fun Series! This vibrant, family-friendly program celebrates the rich cultural traditions of the Spanish-speaking world through the power, beauty, and storytelling of dance.

Orchestra Miami proudly presents two exceptional dance ensembles who will bring Hispanic heritage to life through engaging performances and educational demonstrations.

The Flamenco Class from Armour Dance Theatre will showcase the traditional dance of Spain with an interactive performance and demonstration, offering audiences an introduction to the passion, rhythm, and artistry of Flamenco.

Representing las Américas, Las Paisanas, the folklórico dance team from Young Women’s Preparatory Academy—and proudly the first folklórico dance team in Miami-Dade County Public Schools—will take audiences on a colorful journey through the customs, stories, and traditions that shape Hispanic heritage. Through traditional dances from diverse Hispanic countries, they will celebrate the rich cultural tapestry of Latin America.

The performance will last approximately one hour and is appropriate for all ages. And the fun doesn’t stop when the dancing ends! Stay afterward to meet and mingle with the performers while enjoying complimentary juice and cookies.
