Join us to celebrate and shine the spotlight on remarkable Women in Science as part of National Science Week. Our panel of cutting edge scientists spanning from Botanical Science, Horticulture, STEM and more will pay tribute to those who have come before them and discuss the ground-breaking contributions of Women in STEM, as well as provide stories of their own career paths in science.

Each ticket includes a beverage on arrival and light refreshments after the panel discussion.

Your ticket also includes entry into the Fleurs de Villes FEMMES exhibition.

Speakers

Dr Ganesha Liyanage is a Rainforest Conservation Scientist at the Australian PlantBank. Her research interests include germination behaviour of threatened species and seed biology in restoration and ex situ conservation.

Dr Patricia Lu-Irving is part of the Restore and Renew team at the Australian Institute of Botanical Science. Her work includes investigating within-species patterns of genetic diversity and local adaptation in native Australian plants, and exploring the conservation implications of these patterns.

Dr Zoe-Joy Newby is a Scientific Officer at the Australian Institute of Botanical Science. Her research interests include in situ and ex situ plant conservation, plant diseases, geographical disease modelling and remote sensing, and rainforest seed biology and storage.
