Ever wished you had a Fairy Godmother who could wave her magic wand and make your problems disappear? Well, be careful what you wish for…
This brand-new comedy by Ink Pot Arts has been written and directed by award-winning local playwright Sally Hardy for the very special performers who will be its stars. Members of Ink Pot Arts’ neurodiverse teenage ensemble, the Affinity Theatre Group, along with the Acting for Fun group (whose average age is around 70!), will stage the world premiere of Flight Path at the Mount Barker and Strathalbyn Libraries, this November.
The story centres around a group of ‘older’, retired magical folk, who feel redundant and like their best years are behind them. With a view to rekindling their magic, they set up a ‘Fairy Godmother Hotline’ in a school library, to help younger people with their problems and to bring back their own sense of purpose… But of course, not everything goes to plan!
