At the concert, we will have some exciting news about a major performance she will give later in the year. The Emerging Concert Artist Series aims to foster the next generation of musicians by increasing performance opportunities and building audiences who are love to hear young artist's who are passionate and dedicated their music and its place in community.
Her program, 'Flights of Fantasy,' is bound to delight. With music spanning from the Baroque to the 20th Century, it is bound together by a lightness of energy and joy, a style reflective of Anabbel's young age, 16. 'Flights of Fantasy' captures her youthful energy, allowing her virtuosity to shine within a framework of beautiful melodies. Of her performance for her Associate Diploma on flute the examiners wrote:
'This was a mature presentation with a well-developed sound production throughout. Good technical assurance was demonstrated overall, and there was a pleasing sense of melodic shape and direction to your playing. Your ability to tackle the varying styles presented today was conveyed with good musical awareness. Rich and robust tone colours were used to great effect, along with a clear dramatic arc throughout the entire program. Congratulations.'
