Floods of Fire Theatre Devising Workshops

Join theatre-makers Lucy Haas-Hennessy and Evie Leonard in free after school workshops to create a short performance that will be presented at Floods of Fire in the 2024 Adelaide Festival!

Continuing on from Create4Adelaide’s 2023 workshops, Ink Pot Arts Inc is offering free theatre devising workshops for high school students in the Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu region.

Led by local theatre-makers Lucy Haas-Hennessy and Evie Leonard, these workshops will result in creating short performance pieces based on climate change. The performance pieces will be presented on Saturday March 16th at the University of Adelaide campus at FLOODS OF FIRE: Our Voices Our Dreams, an event created by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra for the 2024 Adelaide Festival.

With each workshop running for 90 minutes, participants will explore the fundamentals of devising theatre through an environmental lens. They’ll learn from some of South Australia’s best emerging theatre-makers on how to create a new work collaboratively, have fun whilst doing so, and have a chance to make their voices heard.

FREE but RSVPs with Ink Pot Arts are essential.

Tuesday 12th March – 4:30pm to 6:00pm

Floods of Fire performance: Saturday 16th March, 2pm to 6pm
