Event description

Join the artists and exhibitors in conversation with Auto-Photo curator Catlin Langford.

Mark Holsworth, Julie Mac, Carrie Kennedy, Ben Morieson, and Osker Morieson will discuss their creative process of using photobooths across Melbourne.

Mark Holsworth is a writer, art critic and artist with a special interest in public sculpture, street art and contemporary Australian art. He is the author of The Picasso Ransom, Sculptures of Melbourne and the long-running blog, Black Mark (Melbourne Art & Culture Critic).

Julie Mac is semi-retired social worker and avid writer, the author of a diverse range of books on Australian history. A former 'Sharpie', Julie has published several texts on this forgotten working-class subculture.

Carrie Kennedy completed a Fine Art degree in Sculpture at RMIT, before training in London as a scenic artist and model maker. She has over 25 years of experience in the film and television industry, now working as one half of production design company Carben Copy with Ben Morieson.

Ben Morieson started his career in prop making and scenic art. With extensive experience in film and television, he has worked as a production designer on a wide range of Australian and international programs, including The Castle, Oddball, Fisk and most recently The Survivors. Ben makes up half of Carben Copy with Carrie Kennedy.

Osker Morieson is currently completing a Bachelor of Media and Communications at RMIT. He has been taking yearly photobooth pictures with parents Carrie Kennedy and Ben Morieson since he was born.
