About our Guest:Â Florence of Canada
Based in Montreal, Florence teaches throughout Canada and the United States; from workshops to large-scale collaborative theatre projects. She is rapidly becoming known internationally through projects in Europe. Her Grace and Beauty World Tour brings her to Australia for the first time!
After a college degree in theatre, then in dance, Florence started to be a full time teacher, dancer and choreographer in oriental dance. In 2014, she performed as a member of the Arabesque Dance Company, directed by Yasmina Ramzy, in Toronto. When at home in Montreal, she continues to train in contemporary performance arts and mime. Her experience in ballet, contemporary dance, social and Latin dances and flamenco as well as her prizes in various international competitions gave her the momentum to quickly build her career in the world of Oriental Dance.
Florence is known for her elegance, her grace and the quality of her choreographic work. Within Quebec, she is one of the most sought-after Oriental Dance choreographers and teachers. She is also the founder and principal choreographer of theGrace and Beauty Ensembles, explorative ensembles working in studio in Montreal as well as an International group online which adds to her solo artistic work.
