Floriade About Town Spring Salon Soiree
Description
Come dressed in your best floral-inspired outfit and celebrate the arrival of spring with Grainger Gallery's Spring Salon Soiree, a major group exhibition inspired by the beauty, symbolism and abundance of gardens, flowers and the natural world. Proudly partnered with Floriade About Town, this year's exhibition embraces Floriade's Feast of Flowers theme, inviting visitors to experience art that reflects the renewal, colour and vitality of the season.
Featuring solo presentations by Andrew Antoniou, Cate Maddy and Kirsty McIntyre, alongside works by a diverse selection of invited artists including Crispin Akerman, Jane Aliendi, Jessica Ashton, Michelle Fogarty, Kate Gorman, Kate Waanders, Sarah Waghorn and Madeleine Winch, Spring Salon explores the many ways artists interpret our relationship with nature. From Antoniou's contemplative gardens as places of transformation and renewal, to Kirsty McIntyre's intimate observations of Australian birds and native flora, and Cate Maddy's evocative landscapes inspired by the Australian bush, the exhibition celebrates gardens not simply as places of beauty, but as spaces of memory, reflection, biodiversity and connection.
