Florian Eatery 'Guest Chef Dinner Series' - Sian Redgrave
Event description
Across two nights, Sydney based cook, stylist and food writer Sian Redgrave will be taking over the Florian kitchen.
Sian, who uses cooking as both an expressive medium and a means of connection, has an easy authenticity at the heart of her practice that lends to her tasteful approach to heartfelt cooking, conversation and inspired curation.
Italy has always held a special place in Sian's heart; a country which represents a melting pot of creativity, tradition, refined aesthetic and bold execution. Seasonal food and nods to the environment are integral to Sian's recipes for this event series — cemented and enriched by many trips to Italy; her most recent travels were last year, which this Florian menu is largely inspired by.
Cucina Povera or "peasant cooking" is the base to many dishes you can expect to see, valuing vegetarian ingredients, creativity and ingenuity to create beautiful food. The menu pays homage to well loved dishes from both the north and south of Italy, with the hope to bring joy and conversation to the diners evening.
Join us, on Thursday 13th or Friday 14th April, 2023, from 6pm for a 6:30pm start at Florian.
Ticket price includes a shared style set menu and Florian will also be running a beautiful bar on the evening with some special wines and other drinks by the glass and bottle.
Please note the maximum group size we can accommodate is 6 people. If you are a smaller group, you may be sharing a table with others. Sian will be offering a vegetarian menu option so please select if it applies this when purchasing your tickets.
We can't wait to see you there.
Florian Eatery's Guest Chef Dinner Series
To celebrate our love of food and the chef's behind it, Florian will be playing host to an ongoing series of events that vary in focus from our guest chef's personal and cultural food histories, a specific interest or idea, or those more produce driven in collaboration with local farms, producers and suppliers.
We've enjoyed getting to know the community that has grown around Florian since we opened early 2021 and would like to take this chance to get together with both new and old friends. We hope this series will expand our sense of community, give opportunity to newcomers like us to Naarm/Melbourne's hospitality scene and hero the relationships that are made when sharing a meal together.
Florian acknowledges this event series will take place on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri people and would like to pay respects to elders past, present & emerging.
