    From hip hop, heels, contemporary and commercial with a little bit of poetry thrown in, this night of flow will leave you glowing. Bring your dancing shoes too because the DJ will end the night with tunes to make you move! Wine from Hungerford Hill and delicious Kumache Kitchen available for purchase! 

    Meet the Performers: 

    Jacinta Rose
     
    (pictured above) When she was younger, Jacinta trained full-time with Marie Walton-Mahon, and Joffrey Ballet School. Now she enjoys exploring other styles, largely thanks to the continous inspiration from movers and teachers at Top Rock Studios. 


    Maddison Weiley

    Maddison Weiley is a 24 year old artist who specialises in contemporary dance / abstract movement. Maddison has been dancing since the age of 3 but has been in the professional dance space for the last 6-7 years with a multitude of genres that has contributed to her career. Pursuing full time ballet training along with contemporary and jazz in the earlier stages of her career maddison progressed to dance professionally overseas in Orlando Florida for a year then moved back to Australia and has gained additional experience with Sydney dance companies pre professional year. This progressed to dancing in art festivals, collaborating with renowned artists, back up dancing for Jeremiah at 50 Cents Final Lap tour, modelling, dancing at cooperate events. teaching at TopRock Studios and working with their events entertainment, as well as teaching amongst other prestigious dance schools within the Hunter region. Maddison will be taking a contract with RWS global Holland America Cruise Line (& Company) in august 2024 to dance overseas and is eager to continue growing and to come back and share her experiences with the dance community.

    Mark Tarculas 

    An incredible hip-hop, commercial, heels and freestyle dancer, and part of the local collective "Newy Crew". Mark has worked with various established artists across Australia, appeared in music videos, concept pieces, and is continuously refining his craft.




    Savanna Cull

    "I grew up in the country and moved to Newcastle for University. Since moving to Newcastle I have found Top Rock studio where I was able to find my confidence and grow as a dancer. Having now finished my degree I am taking this year to train full-time for dance through Ablaze dance academy. My favourite styles are heels, Broadway and contemporary." 





    Rachael Sebastian

    Rachael is a creative who explores emotion and story telling through both dance and music. She began dancing in 2021 and has explored various styles including hip hop, house, commercial, heels and lyrical to build her toolkit in story telling. She has performed in a couple of musicals, in her band Mood Watch as well as various creative dance projects such as showcase and videos with local dance crew “Newy Crew” and independent artists. 





    Gemma Robertson 

    Gemma has danced all her life, growing up her main style was tap, however she also trained in jazz and contemporary. Now she dances at Top Rock Studios and enjoys a variety of dance styles.



    Malvika Satelkar

    Malvika Satelkar is made in Bombay + Goa, India, Refining in the Sacred Country of First Nations people presently known as Australia. She is someone who deeply cares about the environment that we reside in, and to express that Care and Love, her art is capturing, telling a story that needs to be told to acknowledge the blessings Land and Water bring to us. It is a form of loving, Loving, Love through Art. Dance and performing is used by Malvika for story telling later but first as to connect with her inner self and the viewer. She is trained in many dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Traditional Indian Folk Dancing, Belly Dancing, and now Contemporary.

    Jazmyn Chang

    Jazmyn is born and raised in Malaysia, while also being a local Novocastrian the past 7 years. She is a passionate dancer, who trained in ballet from a young age, trained briefly in contemporary and jazz later on, and has now switched lanes in the past 4-5 years to explore commercial and street styles (hip hop, house, popping, tutting, and more). Jazmyn now teaches at Top Rock Dance Studios, sharing her love of dance through teaching Beginner Hip Hop Choreo as well as the first and only K-pop classes in Newcastle. Jazmyn is also part of a local dance crew, Newy Crew. 



    Ashley Tiong
    Ash is a talented dancer in many styles and will be sharing a beautiful Classical Chinese dance from the Dai tribe. 
    "If I’m not sleeping, I’m reading. And if I’m not reading, I’m watching Anime. If I’m not doing any of that, then I’m not doing anything at all. :> And I love dogs!" 


    DJ Jakesy Hustle 

    A staple of the Newcastle DJ scene for 10 years, Jakesy Hustle has cemented his position as one of Newcastle's funkiest and most versatile DJs. From djing for rappers, local club nights, music festivals and even the occasional Taylor Swift tribute night Jakesy has played it all.



    Poet Holly Willis
    Holly hails from Worimi and Biripi country, where she found her love for creativity and art through ballet. She is now almost a university graduate, with 1 week left in an Arts degree that won't get her a job... but will get her the skills to write wonderful poetry.



    Host and Poet Alex Morris
    Alex Morris is a freelance writer, arts activator and fun instigator. She grew up in South Carolina and eventually landed in Newcastle. These days you'll find her working at Maitland Regional Art Gallery, writing for the Newcastle Herald and hyping and hosting local events across the region. Subscribe to her weekly newsletter and she'll love you forever!
