Flower Therapy: A Design Workshop to Promote Healing
Event description
Brooks Floral & Co. is inspired by the unexpected loss of my oldest sibling, Brooks (36), who passed away from complication from COVID and Pneumonia in June 2021. His love for travel, art, history, culture, and nature continue to drive my passion for flowers.
By combining my creativity, passion, and my love for flowers with education -I’m able to create a community that allows connectedness, kindness, compassion, acceptance, and self-love to flourish through floral design and healing. Grief is an on-going journey and it's a big part of why I do what I do.
In our Flower Therapy session, I will guide you through designing a lush-beautiful arrangement while connecting, sharing our stories, and creating a supportive community of love and healing. Whether you're grieving the loss of a child, sibling, grandparent, aunt, uncle, parent, partner, friend, pet, or supporting those going through grief, Brooks Floral is a space where you will feel the love and connection from others through floral design. In addition to learning the basics of floristry, I will share tips & tricks on how I find long-lasting healing through the power of flowers. Read more about my flower journey in The Profile.
