Flowers & Plants - Jim Dine Mixed Media Painting

With Zoe Wiseman (Degree in Fine Arts, Grad Dip of Teach and Learn)

Over three sessions, students will create a Flower mixed-media painting combining soft pastel, charcoal, and ink, following the style and techniques of artist Jim Dine. Firstly, students will complete a drawing of a flower or plant using bold and expressive lines.  They will then layer ink wash over the top to create soft edges and blended colour. Lastly, students will work into the background space around the flower with charcoal to create atmosphere and depth, and over the top of the flower to show shading and line. Soft pastel is then added to bring colour back into the painting and add final detail. 

• 3 sessions over 3 weeks - Wednesday 11, 18, 25th November
• 10:30am - 12:30pm
• $120 per student for full course (+ booking fee)
  (students can sign up for individual days or full course)

Suitable for ages Adults (12y +)

Students need to provide a A3 Watercolour pad  

All other materials provided by tutor.
