with guests
STEREOBUSS
MONICA LAWSON

FRIDAY 12th APRIL  - 6pm
THE SERVO, PORT KEMBLA

It's FFJ's 5th Birthday and we're celebrating by releasing our new EP titled, IN THE KEEP.We'll also be warming you up for the event, as we plan to release a single and lyric video from the EP on The Ides Of March.Flowers For Jayne are Sydney's premier power trio, serving up a swag of original indie pop-punk-rock anthems including fan favourites, "Dangerous Woman", "You're Not What I'm Looking For" and "On My Mind". FFJ was founded by former Lime Spiders lead guitarist, Jayne Murphy, who crafts songs that are rock, pop, punk, indie, folk and glam all at the same time, or are they?!FFJ released their debut album Dangerous Woman in 2022. Inner West music reviewer Happy Mag TV chimed, “Dangerous Woman – a bubbling pot of warm, catchy, pop punk music”.FFJ have been thrilling fans and supporters at Sydney and NSW regional venues since 2019. We've seen a couple of line-up changes over the past two years, and Jayne chimed, "this is the most explosive line up to date, with Kevin 'The Riddler' Riddle playing bass and Peter Timmerman on the drums."Joining us for celebrations on the night will be, StereoBuss. They play pop punk with lots of energy, akin to the Doors, with a dash of Psychedelic Furs and the Hoodoo Gurus.Ian Rowley (drums) and Edward (bass) play the solid grooves. James adds his inspired keyboard lines. Together they continue their musical journey, recounting their days in The Divas.Tadgh (lead vocalist) gracefully tells the tales whilst Bruce (guitarist ) plies his signature guitar riffs to top things off perfectly!Jayne is also thrilled that local Illawarra songstress Monica Lawson has accepted her invitation to be FFJ's special guest and open the night. Jayne and Monica played in Illawarra bands together several years ago.Monica is an experienced performer, singer and guitarist. She can cover a wide range of styles. You'll often see her fronting popular well known bands in the Illawarra and north coast of NSW.She is well regarded in the industry by many and has either played with, or shared a stage with Australian and international headline acts including Charlie Musselwhite, Inner Circle, Steve Gilpin/Mi-Sex, Bourkenback Boys, Ed Kuepper, The Paladins and The Radiators.Listening to Monica's solo set is a must.
