What is the Wiki Science Competition?

Hosted by Wikimedia Australia and Wikimedia Aotearoa New Zealand, the Wiki Science photography regional competition aims to improve the availability of open source science images relevant to Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia — there are entry categories from microorganisms to galaxies, and everything in between!

Why enter?

There are cash prizes up for grabs. Submit your science photos to Wikimedia Commons between 1 November and 15 December 2025, and be in to win.

Regional winners will be eligible to enter the international competition.
