Folklore to Fringe - Modern Witchcraft Today
Folklore to fringe - where did modern pagan witchcraft come from? Not the 'ancient unbroken religion from 3000years ago to today' story but the most likely version, with all its reinventions, borrowed ideas, and interesting characters. And how did it get to Australia?
This free 60min talk will explore the development of modern witchcraft from the Victorian revival through to the Australian witchcraft and pagan scene as it exists today. We'll also jump into the influence of social media and explore what is literally shaping modern Witchcraft Today.
