Price FREE – $25 AUD + BF Get tickets

Event description

How does your food affect the climate? Following the recent acknowledgment of the vital connection between climate and food at COP28 Dubai, Regen Sydney invites you for a delightful climate and food night, kindly hosted by Pocket City Farms. (This event is part of Climate Action Week Sydney)

After a journey through the gardens of Pocket City Farms, join us to explore the positive food-climate actions taking root in our city and savour delectable dishes made from locally grown produce right from our front yard.

Engage in a lively panel discussion and Q&A session as we delve into the principles of regenerative food systems. Discover what success looks like for a Local, Organic, Regenerative & Distributive food system model in Sydney and beyond. Our expert panel will explore topics ranging from community food projects to peri-urban farms and global-scale food systems.

Don't miss this opportunity to envision how we can grow and share healthy, fresh food in our city while addressing one of the biggest global challenges of our time and living in this land with joy.

Event Schedule (subject to change):

  • 3-5 pm: OPTIONAL! Join Pocket City Farms Crew to volunteer at the market garden (you'll be involved in the day-to-day work which includes undertaking a range of jobs from weeding, seed-raising, planting, watering, mulching, compost-turning, repairs and organisation, among others).
  • 5-5:45 pm: ARRIVAL - See urban food system in practice with Pocket City Farms food box system, map Sydney's food system and meet other participants as we go.
  • 5:45-7:15 pm: PANEL - Food and Climate panel
  • 7:15-8 pm: FOOD! Enjoy a sumptuous vegan dinner and informal networking with participants. (Drinks available for separate purchase at the bar)
