Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma Tulsa - Community Service Opportunity 1pm-3pm

Come join us as Epic Charter Schools heads to the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma in Tulsa on Wednesday, September 25th for a day of giving back to our community. When you volunteer with the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, you’re making a real difference in the lives of your neighbors. As a volunteer, you’re supporting neighbors throughout the region and giving back to your community. Together, we can reduce food insecurity. During this service opportunity, there will be a short facility tour and then you will be assisting with various needs including sorting and packaging food.

This Community Outreach Project is for all Epic Charter School students and their families ages 8 and up.

Students: Epic student email accounts cannot receive emails from Humanitix. Therefore, you will need to provide an alternative email address where you can receive the registration confirmation and all updates that are sent about this event. 

CLOTHING & SUPPLIES:

• All volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes for safety precautions. Individuals wearing flip-flops, sandals, or any shoes where toes are exposed will be unable to volunteer.
• Comfortable clothing and a water bottle are recommended.
• Please register and fill out a waiver for all in your family who will be volunteering.
  

ITINERARY: Upon arrival, please check in with an Epic Family Engagement staff member who will be in Epic gear. We’d also love to see you in your Epic gear!

• 12:45pm -1:00pm Volunteer Check-In
• 1:00pm -3:00pm Volunteer
• 3:00pm Dismissal

MEDIA: This is a public event and photographs and or video may be taken during the activity. If you prefer your student to not have a photograph or video taken, please let our Epic staff know during check-in.

CANCELLATIONS: As a reminder, if you sign up to come but are unable to make it, please cancel your reservation using your Humanitix confirmation email. This will open up spots for other families.

2. Click on "Manage Order"
3. Click "Refund/Cancel"
4. Select ALL or manually select the tickets you need to cancel
5. Click the "Review" button
6. Click the "Confirm" button

Inclement Weather: If we have inclement weather, we will send out communication by email through Humanitix or the email used at registration to notify if the Community Service event has been canceled.
