Workshop participants will now need to provide evidence of their full vaccination status or medical exemption in order to participate in on-site classes from 6 pm, 29th October. You will need to check in with our QR code and masks will need to be worn indoors. If you have a valid medical exemption, please get in touch asap. All CERES staff and contractors on site have met vaccination requirements.

Learn what foods will make your brain brighter and better! In this workshop Melanie will share ingredient knowledge of foods good for your gut mind connection. Discover foods that can build and protect your gut microbiome and clear brain fog. Mel’s food for Mind + Gut focus on using whole and unprocessed foods to create wholesome meals and snacks with a minimum of fuss. These recipes are rich in healthy natural fats and oils from plant foods. They focus on using seasonal fruits and vegetables like blueberries, broccoli, leafy greens and avocado to their best potential and utilise fresh herbs and a selection of spices to add flavour and colour without any processed sauces, condiments and sweeteners. 

Mel will show you how to incorporate brain powering foods easily into your daily diet. Also, sharing her daily regime to helping her IBS troubles. These meals and desserts are packed with nutritionally dense vegetables, ensuring that we load our bellies with as many varieties as possible. All the recipes are gluten and dairy free. These recipes are not about following a particular trend or diet, they are about supporting beneficial homemade food. This kind of cooking removes the worry of counting preservatives, additives, emulsifiers, thickeners and flavouring enhancers.

You will leave feeling empowered and prepared to to make your own impact on your wellbeing.

Melanie Leeson the Director of Mettle +Grace: A passionate chef and campaigner for food as medicine is focused on cooking with wholefoods, intolerances, allergies and diagnosed diets. Mel combines her experience in the industry working as Head Chef at Monk Bodhi Dharma, My Goodness Organics and Pressed Juices with her own
health dilemmas to bring you an informative and fun workshop on food for the gut and mind.

Refund policy

CERES reserves the right to cancel workshops due to insufficient numbers. If we cancel the workshop you will be entitled to a 100% refund, or you may choose to transfer to another date, subject to availability. If you decide to withdraw 7 or more days prior to the workshop date CERES will retain a 10% administration fee. If you decide to withdraw less than 7 days prior to the workshop date CERES will retain 100% of your workshop fee. Should CERES have to cancel the course due to Government changes relating to the COVD-19 response, we will let you know as soon as possible. Affected participants will be sent notification which includes details on how to re-book another date or workshop. While cancellations on our part remain refundable within the specified time period, we do hope you will consider bearing with us in these precarious and trying times, and consider the rescheduled date where possible.
