Food Is Medicine has been in the news the past couple of years. Have you ever wondered what is meant by this phrase? The Food Is Medicine Tour begins with a “taste” of our farmers’ cultural dishes at our Meza ya Simulizi. After enjoying some food and conversation, you will spend 45 minutes walking the farm and learning about how the work of PFC intersects with the Food Is Medicine movement.

Tours are rain or shine. All reservations must be made in advance and are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Where do I park? Please park in the parking lot in front of the red barn. In addition, check-in for your tour inside the PFC Farm Store. The store’s entrance is on the left front side of the building.

Other important information:

Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes that you do not mind if they get dirty.
You will be outdoors for much of this time. Please wear sunscreen and/or a hat.
Please bring a drink or water bottle.
Please indicate on your registration if you have any food allergies or restrictions.
The tour includes long periods of standing and walking; if this worries you as being prohibitive, please let us know on your registration how we can support your participation.
If you are running late or need to cancel, please call the PFC office at 716-473-9338 an hour prior to the tour to let us know.
