Event description

They said he would never be able to run, so he ran an off-road marathon instead. This time he is upping the game and crossing the length of New Zealand in the Coast to Coast, 2024.

How did he do it? Mindset, training and food.

Not shy to help others and walk to the walk, Conrad is a Dietitian who has helped dozens, if not hundreds, of endurance athletes, cross the finish line with a solid diet and race nutrition plan.

This guy has goals, and he meets them. One of his goals is to help as many people as possible reach their true potential. That is why we are so lucky to have Conrad come to the store and share his time to help you learn more about diet, food, training and endurance sport.

All finds from tonight's event are going to the Coast to Coast Rangers, so it is a double win if you come! Help yourself and help others!

Nutrition - an area that often flys under the radar for our adventurers

In this seminar, we will be covering:

- How to manage your eating patterns - to get the most from your training and life.

- How much to eat (without fancy scales and apps!).

- Discussing areas outside of nutrition that also has a large impact on training and recovery (eg sleep).

- Hydration and electrolytes.

- How to structure a race plan (so you can practice during your training).

All are delivered in an interactive approach to ensure you are getting the most out of the session.

Nutrition deals are also available for those that attend

Info about Conrad: Conrad is an Accredited Sport Dietitian based in Christchurch. Since the age of 4, Conrad has been playing sport. Participating in everything from rugby and cricket to squash and golf – all at provincial and international representative level. On top of this he loves the outdoors where he surfs and dives (among everything else). More recently he has run several ultra-marathons and got back into his golf. He is also intending to complete The Coast to Coast Longest Day 2024.

Conrad works in professional sport (including the Crusaders and Black Ferns hub) and runs his own private practice. He sees lots of different athletes from golfers to cross fitters, to swimmers and weightlifters (and everything in between). He also works with a wide range of endurance and multisport athletes to optimise their performance through nutrition – which we all know is a massive component. You may think that you’re not an athlete, but anyone who exercises with a purpose is an athlete.

The difference that Conrad provides is that he has always intended to work in sports when he started his nutrition education journey. He completed an undergrad in sport and exercise nutrition, which covered exercise physiology, sport biomechanics, and nutrition.

His passion for sports nutrition is second to none, and he ensures that his clients are not only focusing on their nutrition for their chosen sports but are also provided with the tools to ensure the quality of life.
