1. Tuesday, August 9, 6-8 pm: Jam Workshop
Making JamÂ
This workshop will cover the basics of making and canning fruit jam from scratch. A brief presentation on the jam making procedure and food safety issues in canning will be followed by making and canning jam. The goal is to prepare participants to be able to make jam at home for the rest of the summer from fruits as they come into season. Each student will get to make and take home one jar of jam.

COVID-19 Policy:
Guests to this event are encouraged to be vaccinated. Unvaccinated guests must bring a COVID-19 rapid test and test on-site prior to entering the farm OR bring a negative PCR test from the last 24 hours when test was taken. Vaccinated guests may show their vaccine card, a photo, or their online registry. We reserve the right to make changes to this policy based on the changing situation with COVID-19.

Severe Weather Policy:
In the event of severe weather, Common Good City Farm will send an email to all students informing them that the event has been rescheduled to the rain date. Common Good City Farm has a pavilion where workshops take place so events can continue to happen in the rain.
