Join us for an unforgettable evening of Mexican cuisine and cultural exploration at our Food Safari event on December 6th! Immerse yourself in a rich tapestry of flavours and traditions as Yohaira from Malena's Kitchen leads us through an enchanting culinary journey.

The evening will begin with an introduction to Yohaira, who will share her inspiring story and the origins of Malena's Kitchen. You’ll then be treated to a live demonstration of making Mole sauce, a staple of Mexican cuisine, including a tasting of this iconic paste and a discussion about its cultural aspects.

Food Safari uses humour, food, and passionate community members to introduce conversations towards awareness, understanding and appreciation for the lived experiences of others around us.

As the night unfolds, indulge in a diverse array of Mexican dishes. Savor Corn Tamales with your choice of Chicken with Mole Sauce or a Pork option paired with savory Mexican Refried Beans. Experience the unique flavours of Nopales Salad (Cactus Salad) and enjoy Sweet Corn Cupcakes for a touch of sweetness. The meal will be perfectly complemented by Cafe de Olla, a traditional Mexican coffee that will round out your experience.

Please note if you have any nut, gluten, or corn allergies to advise staff as soon as you arrive. Halal meal option will be the Chicken Tamales.

Additionally, we may be graced with a performance by the Ixtzul Ballet, showcasing traditional Mexican dance and adding an extra layer of cultural richness to the evening.
