Learn how to cook a waste free, plant based dinner with two waste free, plant-based super stars, Simon Toohey from Masterchef, and Anthea Cheng (@RainbowNourishments).

Food waste is a huge problem, for both our planet, and our wallets. Did you know that if food waste were a country, it would be the third largest emitter in the world, after China and the US? And every time we throw something we could have eaten into the bin, we’re basically throwing out our own money. So, this online zoom event is all about coming together to have some fun cooking, but also learning how we can find ways to get around wasting our food.

We’re so lucky to be joined by two incredible pro chefs to show us the way. Anthea is always cooking with the planet in mind - which is the reason her food is plant based, and often low waste just by default. Meanwhile, since finishing up on his second round of Masterchef, in Masterchef Back To Win, Simon has started his own organisation called Sustainable Earth Network where he shows us how to make veggies exciting, and also shows us a bunch of different ways to use up all the stalks, stems and leaves you never would have thought possible!

They’ll be showing us how to use up as much of the ingredients we buy as possible, using parts of the veggie you might have been throwing into the bin or compost up until now!

So what's on the menu? We're cooking a Baked Rice Hotpot with Simon, and Beetroot Brownies with Chocolate Avocado Frosting with Anthea. We'll send through all the ingredients you need in an email when you register.
