Event description
Volunteers work alongside our fully qualified Chef and help with preparing, cooking, and packing healthy frozen meals. With our full contingent of volunteers, we can produce 1,000+ meals per week.
The Community Kitchen utilises ingredients from our Foodbank WA warehouse, which gives the food that we rescue a third life. This has helped reduce our food waste from 11% to 4%. Where essential ingredients are unavailable, we purchase it to provide a variety of meals.
