Dill Pickle Club
Launceston TAS, Australia
Event description
DILL PICKLE CLUB presents The Hannibal Lectures #5
Dig out your pointy shoes and join curator and historian Jon Addison on a stroll through the history and techniques of medieval shoemaking.
Follow in the footsteps of the cordwainers of the early medieval period until the 1500s to see how footwear design and construction developed.
The focus will be turn shoes that were made inside out, before the development of modern welted footwear.
