Description

Women in Numbers is proud to present our 2026 Signature Event:

For Love & Money: Protecting your future without killing the romance

A practical, empowering evening designed to help women feel more prepared, aware and confident when it comes to money, relationships and financial independence.

We spend years talking about careers, property, investing and retirement. Yet some of the most important financial decisions we'll ever make happen within our relationships.

At Women in Numbers, we believe financial confidence starts with understanding your position, asking better questions and feeling informed enough to participate in important decisions.

This Signature Event will bring together 60 WIN members and invited guests at The Pillars Club, Sydney, for an honest, approachable and important conversation about love, money and the role finances play in modern relationships.

When we enter a relationship, get married, buy property or build a life with someone, money becomes part of the partnership.

Despite the important role money plays in relationships, many women have never been encouraged to engage with these conversations, ask questions or take an active role in financial decision-making.

This event is designed to shift that narrative.

We will explore the role money plays in modern relationships, and how women can approach financial decision-making with greater confidence, clarity and care.

The goal is not to create fear or suspicion. It is to normalise proactive financial conversations in relationships.

Because protecting a financial future does not mean planning for a relationship to fail. It means feeling informed, aware and able to participate in important decisions.

We want women to feel comfortable asking questions like:

  • Do I understand our financial position?

  • Do I know what I am signing?

  • Am I named on the right assets?

  • Do I understand our debt, mortgage, insurance and estate plans?

  • Have we had the right conversations before life gets complicated?

Guests will leave with practical prompts, expert insights and greater confidence to have important money conversations in their own lives.

We are thrilled to be joined by three incredible speakers:

Rachel Harker

Relationship Therapist, Founder of Tribal Group

The conversations we avoid and how to talk about money with your partner without making it weird

Rachel will open the evening with a practical and relatable conversation about why money can feel difficult to discuss in relationships, and how to approach those conversations with care.

Melinda Winning

Family Lawyer, Partner at Barkus Doolan

Protecting yourself with love, not fear

Melinda will share insights on what women should understand when it comes to relationships, assets, legal structures and financial protection.

Julie Garis

Forensic Accountant, Founder of Simple Split Financials

What I wish women knew before they needed someone like me

Julie will share insights from years of helping clients untangle complex financial situations, and the practical steps women can take to better understand their financial position long before those services are ever needed.

Whether single, dating, married, building wealth, buying property or simply wanting to better understand a financial position, this conversation is for you.

Places are limited to 60 guests, so we encourage members and guests to register early.

Food and beverages will be provided.
