For the Blue documentary film screening
Event description
Free public pop up screening - Two / FiftySeven, Pōneke / Wellington CBD, 7.30pm Thursday 20th April
‘For The Blue’ was created and funded by Project Blue - a group of young ocean loving Kiwis. It details how plastic pollution is damaging our environment, and how we contribute to this problem here in Aotearoa, whilst showing the real world solutions on how to fix it.
This film takes you on the three year journey of the Project Blue team. They have documented the plastic crisis in places like Hawaii, Malaysia and at home here in New Zealand, to understand the consequences of our consumption and what happens when plastic waste ends up in the environment.
Project Blue speaks to people who are leading the plastic free movement, whilst documenting how we can all be part of the solution, rather than the problem.
Their goal for this documentary is to inspire the next generation of change makers, to think big about the issues we face, and act upon them.
