Event description
French poet and composer Guillaume de Machaut was a 14th Century colossus whose influence is still felt today. We present a selection of his choral works, culminating with his groundbreaking composition Messe de Nostre Dame. The mass is accompanied by a moving panorama created especially for the piece; an immense scrolling artwork turned on cranks, backlit and augmented with shadow puppetry.
