The holidays are supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year. But for some of us, they can also be a little lonely. The invitations don’t always come, the people we miss aren’t always here, and the pressure to feel festive can be a lot.

So let’s do something about it. Let’s get together, put our phones away, share a few stories, listen to some great music, and find a little holiday spirit in each other’s company. Come early for a good seat, stiff drink, great tunes, a delicious meal, and then stay for all the feels.

For the Record is a night of true stories, great songs and the memories that connect them.

Nine people. Nine stories. And after each story, a song chosen by the storyteller — sometimes a favourite, sometimes a deep cut, sometimes a song you may never have heard before. The music isn’t there to soundtrack the story; it’s part of the story.

Hosted by Wade Kelly, with DJing by Nick Reynolds, For the Record is an intimate night of storytelling, listening and shared experience. Expect a little laughter, a few feels, some musical surprises and the kind of connection that reminds us we’re not alone.
