Foraging - Finding Food, Sharing Fun
Event description
Finding your own food in the wild is incredibly rewarding. Connecting with the nature that surrounds us - even in our own backyard - gives us an opportunity to expand our meal vocabulary, see the environment around us and share abundance with friends. Â
In this edition of Foraging we will concentrate mainly on early fall finds including fruits & nuts.  I'll throw in anything else I find that is ready/ripening as well. Bring your plant notes from our first class (I'll have more if this is your first - you can join in anytime) to keep making notes and familiarizing yourself with how the plants change through the weeks, months and seasons. We'll sample some wonderful wild foods too. Â
Wear weather appropriate clothes - I recommend layers and sturdy shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Bring insect repellent of your choice if you wish. It is also a good idea to bring gloves, and something to "snip" with. You'll want a canvas tote, a basket, or paper bags to carry some goodies home in too. Â
$25.00 per person - please reserve in advance so I know how many to prepare for.Â
(920) 893-9000 to reserve by phone, or stop in at The Hub or Laack's Tavern or sign-up online right here on Humanitix to support childrens' charities while you're at it.Â
If you know someone who would like to attend but cannot afford the fee - please have them contact Susan. Scholarship funds may be available through Seranya Studios Arts Foundation - our host.Â
