Event description
AFTERNOON SESSION. A MORNING Nature Therapy event is also available here.
This forest bathing (or nature therapy) event invites HDR students to experience mindfulness and social connection through an evidence-based outdoor wellbeing practice. Hosted by Jana Norman, ANFT Certified Forest and Nature Therapy Guide.
Itinerary:
- Meet at Hub Central in front of the big screen/mezzanine. The HDR Wellbeing Network Committee will meet students attending the event at Hub Central, and then we'll walk over to the Botanic Gardens.
- Nature Therapy session: Jana Norman will lead us on a low impact, and not strenuous walking tour. An evidence-based practice of immersing ourselves in a natural environment, for the widespread benefits it brings.
Comfortable shoes recommended and it may be sunny so bring water, hats, and sunscreen.
This event takes place during Mental Health Awareness Month, and is funded through a 2024 Wellbeing Grant from Student Health and Wellbeing at the University of Adelaide.
