What to expect?

Immerse all your senses in nature during this guided Forest Bathing walk, though the local bushland. Take time out for this mini-retreat to recharge, unwind, notice, ponder, meander and just 'be'. A series of invitations will be offered to help you sink deeper into yourself and place.

This walk includes some Nature Journalling activities - so bring your journal and pencils.

What is Forest Bathing? 

Forest Bathing is a recognised preventative health therapy in Japan, where it originates. Known there as Shinrin-Yoku - it translates to immersing oneself in the atmosphere of the Forest.

Who can do it?

Forest Bathing is suitable for people over 15 years old that can navigate uneven walk trails. The walks are about 1.5 km. There will be periods of optional sitting on the ground.

What do I need?

Water bottle, hat, sun cream, suitable clothes and shoes for gentle bushwalking and a sarong to sit on.

Johanna is a conservation scientist, tree canopy and conservation advocate, educator, artist, bushwalker and qualified Forest Bathing guide (INFTA).
