Forest Bathing Workshop

Mindfully connecting with nature is increasingly being shown to have beneficial effects on our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Join Louise from Barefoot Wellbeing for a unique online Forest Bathing workshop and experience the healing power of (re)connecting with yourself and the natural world.

You can attend this workshop indoors or outdoors on your smartphone or device. Either way, before the workshop you'll collect some natural items such as leaves, feathers, pebbles, bark and have them ready to use during the session. If attending indoors, also have paper, glue and pencils or crayons ready to use to make an eco-art work.

This modified online session will include a sensory meditation, eco-art creation, group reflection and sharing.

What is Forest Bathing?
Rest assured no nudity is required! Forest Bathing is an immersive, sensory experience where we let nature soak in through all our senses. The practice includes: mindfulness meditation, slow movement, creative expression and deep listening to reawaken our innate and intuitive connection to the natural world, to ourselves and each other.

Facilitator: Louise Kiddell
Louise is a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, Yoga and Meditation Teacher, Art Therapist, Counsellor and Nature Play Educator. Her work is about reconnecting people to wild places and their own true, wild nature. Louise teaches a range of Nature Play programs for young children and families as well as Nature Connection, Wellbeing and Mindfulness practices and programs for adults.

This event is part of Randwick Council's Eco Living Festival 2021 - four weeks of workshops, talks, tours and movies for the whole family!
