Forest Media Blitz Workshop

We invite students and young people to be part of an exciting and meaningful event —

the Forest Media Blitz at the Bellingen Youth Hub on Sunday, September 14th.

This one-day event is for young people who care about the environment, want to be heard, and are ready to make a real impact.

🌳 What is the Forest Media Blitz?

Participants will create short 1–2 minute videos to be shared across social media platforms simultaneously — a coordinated media action designed to raise awareness and drive action for:

1. The ongoing Clouds Creek Vigil

2. The importance of protecting Old Growth Forests

3. The creation of the Great Koala National Park

4. creating a media blitz for maximum impact that can't be ignored

🗓️ Event Highlights:

• Inspiring guest speakers on the forest campaign, media strategy, and storytelling

• Small group video production using phones and editing platforms like Clipchamp

• Coordinated launch of videos to flood social media and generate attention

 What to Bring

• A laptop with a video editing program installed (e.g. Clipchamp)

• A phone or camera for filming

• Passion, creativity, and your voice

This is a chance for young people to be heard — not just locally, but globally. The forests and wildlife of our region are under threat, and youth voices can lead the call for change. Help them create something powerful, together.
