Forest Practices Awards

The FPA invites you to celebrate outstanding achievements in the forest industry. 

The Forest Practices Awards will take place following lunch at the paranaple Convention Centre from 3:30 to 5:00 pm on Thursday 19 September, straight after the Northern FPO Refresher Course 2024. You are welcome to arrive from 3:15 for afternoon tea and the ceremony will start at 3:30.

Please RSVP for the awards in this registration form so that we know how many to cater for.

You are also invited to join FPA staff at a casual dinner in Devonport (TBA) that evening (at your own cost). Please RSVP for dinner in this registration form to aid booking. 

Forest Practices Awards are given to recipients who were nominated by their peers and selected by a committee. The categories include:

• Preparation of forest practices plans
• Natural and cultural special values management *NEW AWARD
  
• Inspection and supervision of forest operations
  
• Conduct of forest operations
  
• Innovation in forest practices
  
• Community engagement
  
• Recently appointed FPO

Parking is in the Multi-level car park next door, entry is via Best Street or Fenton Way:
• First 30 minutes free – then $1.00 per 30 minutes, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm
• $2.00 flat fee, Saturday and Sunday and after 6pm Monday to Friday
• $5.00 all day parking available on the top level Monday to Friday
• Undercover parking
• Please note that the height clearance is 2.3 meters.
