Event description

When was the last time you spent time with a forest?

Learn about and experience forest therapy, also known as forest bathing and nature therapy in this small group guided session through the open woodlands and rainforest of EJ Foote Memorial Sanctuary in Buderim.

Forest therapy follows a sequence of activities that awaken our senses and help us develop our relationship with nature, the more-than-human world. It is a simple and down-to-Earth practice that improves our wellbeing, strengthens connection to self, nature and other humans and acknowledges and reveres country.

For more information, including answers to questions such as "What happens on a nature therapy walk?", "Is there scientific proof that it's good for us?" and "What should I wear?!" visit the Held Outside website.

Meeting details and other important information will be shared with registered attendees via email before the event date. Preparation for the experience requires my knowing how many participants are joining in advance, and having your contact details in case of an event cancellation or change due to weather. If you can not book online, please contact Jay at heldoutside@gmail.com or 0476 212 616 to reserve a place.

EJ Foote Memorial Sanctuary is a ten minute walk downhill from the bus stop of the 616 Maroochydore - Sippy Downs route (Mooloolaba Rd at Foote Ave).

Sunshine Coast Regional Council permit: CUL210040
