Forest Therapy Walk at Darebin Parklands 19th November 2023, 8am
Event description
More and more, people are discovering the proven health benefits of shinrin-yoku (forest therapy), healing through nature.
It has been proven that a 2.5 to 3 hour walk immersed in nature will:
- lower blood pressure,Â
-Â decrease cortisol levelsÂ
-Â improve your immune system, by increasing the number and activity of natural killer cells (our anti-cancer cells).Â
Research has also shown that forest therapy decreases depression, anxiety, anger, and fatigue while increasing your state of vigour and creativity!
Forest Therapy is the practice of reconnecting people with nature through their senses. Your guide skillfully invites you to immerse yourself into a number of sensory and creative activities, deepening a reciprocal relationship with nature. All you have to do is accept the invitation and allow nature to flow organically through your senses.Â
This experience is a beautiful, calming and beneficial way to spend a few hours of your time!
I would love to invite you to join us on Sunday, 19th November 2023. This will be an easy level walk for people of general fitness. You will also experience a lovely tea ceremony.
If the weather is too severe, you will receive a text the night before, cancelling the walk. All cancellations will have a credit to be used for future walks.
There will be a series of therapy walks in the coming months. Keep an eye out for future dates on my website: https://greenspacetherapy.com.au
