Footsteps in the Forest - Family Friendly Event

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

ogether with a small group we will trace gentle footsteps in the forest.

This Forest Immersion walk offers time and space to connect with ourselves, each other and the natural world that surrounds and supports us.

This is a Forest Therapy experience, not a bush walking experience. We will not cover a large physical distance. This experience is all about slowing down and exploring with all of our senses. This is a family friendly event so we will be offering invitations to children and adults together. We ask that you are responsible for your child / children during the event.

This walk will be guided by Rachel DeSumma an ANFT trained Forest Therapy guide in collaboration with Becky Walls and Michael Norton, both passionate nature connection explorers.

During the experience we will invite you to slow down and connect with your surroundings and the other beings that share this space with us. We will explore slowly and imagine we are exploring this place for the very first time!

Being in nature is sooo good for you and your kids!! There are many benefits of time spent in nature, especially in a mindful way. Research on Forest Bathing and Forest therapy has found significant improvements in mood, stimulating the immune system, and lowering blood pressure.

We will gather at 1:15 pm for a 1:30 start (if you're running late or lost please text me 0417 720 984 before 1:15pm as I will no longer look at my phone after 1:15pm)

1:30 Welcome, acknowledgement of country, introduce ourselves and presence ourselves in the space.

4:00 Tea ceremony, shared snacks and group share
