Forest Bathing and Sound Immersion: Forest Symphony
Event description
Hear the wild forest soundscape calling you. Brushing your fingers alongside the trunks of the trees, allow each bird call, and gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze wash over your body as we draw ourselves into each precious moment.Immerse yourself in the gentle practice of Forest bathing followed by a Sound bath meditation with Danielle Steller. Danielle will combine crystal singing bowls, the sounds of nature and voice, guiding you on a journey inwards, weaving in a soundscape to restore and revitalize.
The event will begin with a guided Forest Therapy walk with ANFT Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide Rachel Desumma. Then we will gather for a tea ceremony, followed by a sound meditation led by Danielle Steller. Research has demonstrated benefits of Forest therapy walks including reduced blood pressure, stimulating the immune system, increased creativity, sense of well being, and concentration. DanielleS teller is a singer-songwriter and vocal coach, sharing with students for over 10 years, both in Australia and overseas, her most valued healing tools - voice, music and meditation.Currently a student herself, with the Sound Healing Academy of Australia, Danielle combines sound healing principles, with her musicianship, to create a lush tapestry of sound with gong, Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, chimes and voice.
She herself has experienced the power of healing through music and meditation. "Giving birth to my babies using only meditation, music and a singing bowl was a spiritual awakening for me. What could have been a scary, painful experience was instead an intensely mindful and beautiful one, thanks to a solid meditation practice and the healing power of sound."
As an accomplished musician, she has performed at festivals, weddings, private functions and live venues all over the World.
In 2018, she was invited to perform on the main stage, and conduct a singing meditation workshop at the renowned Renaissance festival in Lang Lang, Victoria.
“If we really tune in, and focus our energy inward, what we are capable of is astounding. The real magic is, that essentially people are healing themselves, I'm just providing them with the tools to do it. And an epic soundtrack!".
