Forging Futures: Changing the nature of iron and steel production report launch - Deloitte & WWF
Event description
The decarbonisation of the global steel industry raises serious economic questions for Australia, the industry’s #1 supplier of raw materials. With the right choices, could Australia become a green iron key that unlocks decarbonisation for our trading partners and delivers an economic dividend at home?
WWF-Australia teamed up with Deloitte to ask:
- - Where are Australia’s competitive economic opportunities in the greening of iron and steel?
- - What scenarios are available for transiting our important relationships with steel-making trading partners like Japan?
- - What are the potential nature impacts of an onshore iron industry in Australia and how can these be managed?
The reports will be launched on 3 March and this webinar will allow us to do a deeper dive into some of the modelling and conclusions from this analysis.
