ABOUT ILIAS KOUSIS

Ilias is a very passionate Forrest Yoga Guardian (Level 5), who quit his academic career as a Geologist to teach yoga full-time. He is currently based in Oslo, Norway, where he teaches weekly group classes, privates, workshops, teacher trainings and corporate yoga. His rich educational background in yoga includes Forrest Yoga/Vinyasa/Hatha/Yin Yoga. He is also an Energy Medicine graduate of Light Body School from Four Winds Society and offers Energy Medicine sessions.

Ilias loves to share his unique blend of Forrest Yoga and Energy Medicine healing tools combined with the expertise he has developed over years of dedicated self-practice and working with people of various backgrounds. As a consequence, he has an excellent command of physical and energetic anatomy of the human body that greatly enhances his ability to create harmonious, healing sequences that help bodies unwind and freed from physical and emotional backlog. He is adept at seeing energy in bodies, which enables him to assist individuals in a precise and effective way. His hands-on assists are mindful, gentle and aim to induce healing and to create space in the joints. Because of his constant self-work on his mindfulness, he has developed a sharp intuition and excellent energy-reading skills, which he uses to help students reconnect to their life’s purpose.

His background as a scientist has helped him weave spirituality with cutting-edge science. It also enabled him to communicate his teachings in a robust, direct and succinct way. He loves guiding his students on how to open up new doors of possibilities by connecting to their Spirit instead of living on autopilot and making decisions based on fear and past trauma.


ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS

Each workshop begins with Ceremony to set the focus and intention AND will be uniquely juicy, fun and safe for all.

All workshops are suitable for ALL levels, including people with injuries and Pregnant women (2nd & 3rd Trimester only, who are used to practicing yoga).

Please note that these workshops are included in the price of the Hands-on Assists Teacher Training Module meaning when you book into the Teacher Training Module, you'll automatically be booked into these workshops.

1: Friday, April 25th, 9:00-11:30 (2.5 hrs): The Art of Hip and Shoulder Opening

A hip and shoulder opening class that will bring space into your joints and ease your pain and stiffness. You will leave feeling revitalised, spacious and excited to embody all these new tools that help avoid, relieve and reduce pain significantly. 

Workshop 2: Saturday April 26th, 9:00-11:30 (2.5 hrs): The Art of Back-bending

This back-bending class will bring space into your spine and provide you with more understanding around lifelong sustainable yoga practices for a healthy Spine as you progress in your yoga journey. You will experience practical and functional tools; the how-to on breaking up with back pain.

Workshop 3: Sunday April 27th, 9:00-11:30 (2.5 hrs): The Art of Arm Balances & Inversions

This arm balancing & inversions class will help you recognise when your fears take over your mind, short-circuiting your ability to progress by paralyzing and/or distracting you. This class offers the opportunity to recognise how fears have been unconsciously influencing your yoga practice. You will gain more tools to transform fears into wisdom. 

Fear is a great ally when we listen to it, we can outgrow our current limitations, lift ourselves out of depression and helplessness and find deeper meaning in life. 

You will realise that arm balances & inversions are not only about physical strength, but mostly about neurological connections between brain and body.
