Forro do Domingo - Festa Julina Special!!

As is tradition for the Perth forro community the season is not complete without our much celebrated Festa Julina!

Live Music - Dress Caipira - Bring Plate to share - Quadrille - Forro!!

The upstairs Obs Bar at Scarborough Sports & Community Club will be transformed into a colourful 'Arraial dos Forrozeiros' on Sunday 6th July from 5pm to 9:30pm! There will be Forró, Forró and more Forró with live music lead by our amazing accordion player Danilo da Paz and the extrodinary Emily Gelineau on 'Rebeca' and Band!!! Playing your favourite tunes in between and turning the dance floor into a Forrozeiros heaven - Dance animation straight from Campina Grande with Ana Silva, traditional quadrilha...who is getting married this year?....student forró flash mob and as always the best of Forró Pé de Serra!!

Come in your favourite Caipira (country) outfits and bring the whole family (under 18 free - however no specific kids activities)! In our true Forró community tradition, we ask everyone TO BRING a small plate of something tasty or traditional to eat to contribute to our festive table! Last year's spread was amazing!! Don't forget to label your food and plates! We will provide plates and extra labels etc! There is a full club bar downstairs with Vino Quente on offer- no BYO please as venue is licenced.

PLEASE NOTE - we are NOT selling food it's community contribution, please eat at your own risk and cater for any allergies and dietary requirements.

Admission $15 (cash/ATM downstairs) or online through humanitix link (charity fee). This is a non-profit event and all admission goes towards covering event costs and funding future Forró community events throughout the year and this year towards a beautiful young Brazilian mother Diana Hora I meet just recently needing a lot of our strength and support for her treatment costs to battle Cancer as a non-resident here in Australia! Let's forrozear and help our community around us!!!
