Forum Theatre - Auditions

Are you between the ages of 15-21 with an interest in theatre and the ability to act/improvise? Then we want you !!
What am I agreeing to?
Should you be successful you will be one of 6 young people who will help in scripting (acting not writing) a style of theatre called 'Forum Theatre', focussing on an issue relevant to young people.
N.B You do not need to understand what Forum Theatre is- we will teach you that along the way.
What we will be asking you to do is:
-Share opinions about what it is like growing up in Mackay
-Turn these opinions into skits
-Collate these skits together into a storyline
-Improvise possible outcomes of these scenarios
Time Commitment
- Attendance at a series of 8 workshops which will be held at the Jubilee Community Centre on 9th/16th/23rd/30th March, 20th/27th April and 4th/11th May- from 3.30-5.30pm
