Forum Theatre Workshops

Brazilian Theatre of the Oppressed inspired Forum Theatre workshop series invites you to unleash that empathic heart and strong desire for social justice. While being creative and playing with fun tools, techniques and theatre games to collectively empower problem solve and empower for change. Hands on experience with this method.

This is a community based project for community, with a small charge for good energy exchange. No previous acting experience required. 3 workshop blocks. Do block 1, 2 or 3 with each one, building on the other, with the 3rd requiring a commitment to the 2 community forum theatre pieces on the weekend of the last week. Homeless week 2021. Therefore, the social theme of the series is homelessness. In saying that, there is an endless directions we as an ensemble can explore here using the voice of real community members experiencing homelessness.
