There’s mounting concern from regional communities, environmental groups and the agricultural sector about the wide-reaching powers of the Qld Government’s recently proposed State Development laws.

Despite 90% of submissions to the Parliamentary Inquiry opposing the Bill, the Parliamentary Committee recommended the Bill be passed with no changes.

Hear from Industry representatives who have combed through the proposed bill and pulled out the biggest risks to farmers and regional communities.

Special guest speakers include;

Member for Traeger, Robbie Katter MP
Landholder and environmental advocate, Drew Hutton
Agforce Queensland
Property Rights Australia, Dale Stiller

The State Development Bill has been drawing headlines because its powers reach well beyond the “Critical Minerals” title and risks severely weakening landholder rights, bypassing protections for productive farmland, removing community review rights, modifying environmental safeguards, as well as expanding powers for compulsory acquisition and forced land access.

Join the event to hear directly from groups likely to be impacted by the proposed bill.

This forum is organised by Save our Darling Downs, Property Rights Australia and a wide range of interest groups.
