BEST DRESSED MAN:

Suit or jacket and trousers with tie are essential.
Must show sophistication and style.
Understanding and interpretation of racewear and current trends.
It is also a great asset to add complimentary accessories such as pocket handkerchief, a lovely lapel etc.
Hats for men are always an added part to an overall stylish look however not compulsory.
Always ensure your shoes have been polished.

BEST DRESSED LADY:

Aimed at the modern young race goer (under 35's).
Fashion could be classic, edging or a 'stand alone' look.
No colour theme on the day.
Knowledge of trend.
Grooming and deportment.
Clever use of accessories including hat or headwear.
Appropriateness of the millinery for Spring (no felt).
Shoes should be polished - sling backs, court shoes, peep toe shoes are looked on favourably.
Gloves are not compulsory but always complete a polished look.

BEST DRESSED WOMAN:

Must show an overall elegant Spring statement.
Show style and originality from top to toe.
No colour theme on the day.
Dress length racewear appropriate .
Accessories to compliment each other ie headpiece, shoes, handbag and accessories.
Understanding and interpretation of racewear and current trend.
Suitability of the outfit for the climate of the season and the day.
Shoes should be polished - sling backs, court shoes, peep toe shoes are looked on favourably.
Gloves are not compulsory but always complete a polished look.

NOTE:
Miniskirts and plunging necklines are not suitable for Fashions on the Field.
EVENT WILL BE FILMED - therefore you agree to us using your images.

RULES:

Finalists must be aged 18 years or over on the day of the races. Proof of age must be presented at the time of registration if requested
Finalists must not receive any form of compensation from a third party for entering Fashions on the Field competition.
The Promoter is Shoalhaven City Turf Race Club and Thoroughbred Events Australia.
The judges' decision is final.
No alteration to outfit between when chosen as a finalist and the announcement of winner. An alteration will result in disqualification.
Prizes are non-transferable (unless agreed to by the sponsor), non-exchangeable and are not redeemable for cash. Prizes may be subject to additional Terms and Conditions.
Winners will be notified directly after judging and will be presented with their prize package.
All entries may be entered into a database for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes unless noted to the contrary by the contestants lodged in writing.
Contestants agree that their image may be used by the host race club and sponsors for future marketing purposes.
Contestants acknowledge we are filming on the day and any image may be used.
