Foundation Paper Piecing
Event description
In this class, participants will be introduced to foundation paper piecing, which is a quilting method where fabric is sewn onto a paper template. Participants will choose from a few provided block patterns and make one 6-8” quilt block. You will leave with either a completed pot holder, or one block to take home and start a bigger quilt! We will also go over adding batting, top stitching, and bias tape to finish a quilt.
This is a great way to use up your fabric scraps to create beautiful (and practical) art! No sewing experience/knowledge is needed! Participants can opt to bring their own fabric to use (optional) but all materials (incl. fabric) will be provided.
This is a BYOM (Bring Your Own Machine) workshop and sewing machines will not be provided. Participants will need to bring all necessary machine accessories to participate- pedal, power cord, bobbin, machine needle and sewing machine manual (if available).
This workshop is appropriate for ages 18+ only.
