Description

The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is hosting a Foundations of ENT Nursing Study Day. The course will include the following topics:

  • Anatomy and physiology of the ear, nose and throat

  • Chronic otitis media from beginning to end

  • Basic ENT Nursing

  • Audiology assessment

  • Vertigo

  • Pre and Post op care

  • Consumer experience

  • Common Nasal Conditions

  • Medications and treatment options for ENT disorders

  • Caring for patient with hearing deficits

  • Common Throat Conditions

At the completion of this study day, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss ear anatomy and physiology

  • Revise and expand their knowledge and understanding of diagnostic audiology, implantable hearing devices and chronic otitis media.
