More about Laura & Adam:
Laura Nixon and Adam McConnochie (Ngāti Kahungunu ki te Wairoa) are the husband and wife team behind oral care business, Solid. Led by Laura, their mission is to stop the 16 million toothpaste tubes that go to the landfill in Aotearoa every year and to demonstrate the role that businesses can play in driving climate action.
Laura is an Oral Health Therapist and practised as both a dental hygienist and dental therapist before founding Solid. Adam has a background in entrepreneurship support, building relationships with many leading entrepreneurs from Southeast Asia and New Zealand, while working at Asia New Zealand Foundation Te Whītau Tūhono.
