About Johann Kim

A serial entrepreneur and creative visionary, Johann Kim, founded Pigeonhole at age 25, straight out of university as his first place of employment. Since 2007, Johann has opened over 50 stores, a cafe, run a wholesale distribution business with customers globally, has exhibited in tradeshows around the world, and run markets and activations across Australia.

Johann have received numerous awards including the WA Business News 40 Under 40 at age 27, WA Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year, Life In Style Lifetime Achievement Award & the Global Innovator Award for Best Retailer in Australia.

Having travelled the world and lived across the country, Johann has finally settled back in Perth and brings his cosmopolitan sensibility of design, placemaking, and creative community building back to his hometown and celebrates 15 years of running Pigeonhole this October.

About our Host: Cara Phillips

Cara Phillips is an actor, director, writer and presenter. She has worked in theatre, film and TV, in Australia and in China. Currently she works as a Senior Lecturer in film, as well as facilitating creativity workshops as an arts therapist. Cara has a keen interest in people's stories and experience and is delighted to explore the stories of our amazing artists and host the fireside chats at Flock Festival.
